A look at the state of non-fiction writing, how our love of social media (and gossip) fuel the industry, and other thoughts in an interview with writer Sarah LaBrie.
I recently read No One Gets to Fall Apart and enjoyed it so much. It was so immersive and thoughtful. I love Sarah's writing. And I'm so glad she did not listen to the guy who told her not to write about her mother (such astoundingly bad advice!! I love stories about mother-child relationships and find them fascinating).
omg 😠LOVE that you read it!! i felt the same, just a really personal piece — that has a texture i have difficulty pinpointing, like something between a documentary and reenactment — that felt so refreshing in a capitalized memoir, where stories get written but they're not "books." what a book!
