Welcome to The Trend Report: Business Edition™, a midweek look at top stories, trends, and more of what’s happening online and off from Kyle at The Trend Report™. Today, we’re discussing the courts as puritanical entertainment, wavy shoes, and enticing blue goo.

🏛️ Politicultural: That other N-word

It feels like a lot of people missed this but Fox News “comedian” Greg Gutfeld made an interesting push this week on the conservative news network: to reclaim the word “Nazi.” “We need to learn from the Blacks, the way they were able to remove the power from the n-word by using it,” Gutfeld said. “So, from now on, it’s, ‘What up, my Nazi? Hey, what’s hanging, my Nazi?’” Here’s the video.

  • What can you do about this? Yes, a lot of what is happening in the world and in politics is incomprehensibly evil. The solution for this isn’t “calling out” but instead true accountability — and literally fighting back as this wasn’t a dog whistle but a call to action. I say this as, from Democrats' 2029 cringe agenda to Obama’s empty lecturing, it’s becoming clear that there is little interest in confronting this, instead shrugging and taking it, as if shit like this is “politics as usual.” Really? While I do think the Democrat push for Epstein answers is forcing the GOP, MAGA, etc. to eat their red hats, that is hardly meaningful action: it is the bare minimum. As Georgia state representative Ruwa Romman said on TikTok this week, of left-wing content creators suppression the questioning of Democrats, “People are really angry at everybody else telling them to lower their standards [so we can win]…You are giving them cover to be bad.” Meet the moment that is actually happening, not some fictitious idea of “now.”
