Last week was my birthday, which was neither big nor small but was.
That’s something that happens as you enter the end of your [REDACTED]es: birthdays become a bit meaningless as far as the specific number, while the celebratory nature takes on more nuances.
Bobby and I are spending this week away, which I’m taking as a time to not-be-working on work-work but I am continuing to (lightly) carry the cross that is reporting on the trends. Trends don’t get time off! And, in some ways, neither will I.
So, in the spirit of celebrating age and the wisdom acquired, I wanted to share [REDACTED] items that I learned this year about myself, the world, and anything else that I found to be of note in this [REDACTED]th year of life.
