PLEASE discuss planned remembrance!!! it's one of the most disturbing things to witness irl, which is really the only time we're confronted with its implications via the LENGTHS. the LENGTHS to which people are willing to go to secure their future memory bag. mercifully we're mostly spared this knowledge when engaging with the final-product content itself, but less so now that content creation is more ubiquitous and the veil has been lifted. it makes me think of when people comment "damn all i can think about is how you had to put your phone down and then come back and get it" etc etc
okay you're influencing me as i think this may fit into this weekend something so stay tuned and YES: i think there's such an awareness of it now, if not the performance of it but also the self-fomo of it all, that the fear of missing out happens in the present to yourself which is...crazy. "let people enjoy things" but also let YOU enjoy things: i'd rather have someone with a gopro / meta glasses strapped on being present and filming versus the self-tape (but also: fuck the meta person lol)
