Sharp framing on how the K shape works across multiple dimensions simultaneously. The connection between K-shaped economics and K-holes of escapism clarifies why people retreat into screen time instead of confronting inequality. I've noticed this pattern where disociation becomes the default response when systems feel too broken to fix, which just deepens the divergence.

oh exactly: things are clearly overwhelming, yes, but that "let's turn inward" thing is only so good as the individual, which is to say it only helps YOU. and that can be problematic given *mass* issues but alas. what a time! and hopefully people start digging themselves out of these holes!!!!! thanks for reading as always!!!

PLEASE discuss planned remembrance!!! it's one of the most disturbing things to witness irl, which is really the only time we're confronted with its implications via the LENGTHS. the LENGTHS to which people are willing to go to secure their future memory bag. mercifully we're mostly spared this knowledge when engaging with the final-product content itself, but less so now that content creation is more ubiquitous and the veil has been lifted. it makes me think of when people comment "damn all i can think about is how you had to put your phone down and then come back and get it" etc etc
